    Great content, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much easier and potent now!

    There should be BLACK BOX warnings on all ADT medications to alert patients that testosterone may never recover, that patients may remain castrated for life ..that severe brain fog and memory loss occurs ....that patients should exercise extreme caution before driving vehicles or operating machinery But hey, that would cut into the drug companies profits

    I wasn't convinced at first, but watching how I blasted all over the "place" in less than a month was shocking, I used what I talked about the other day, and although it actually took about 5 weeks for my volume to double, I just go'ogled Jan Venstaker's Shooting Ropes and her reaction has been priceless!

    My surgeon seemed to have no interest in my functional success, only his clinical success and that approach caused a myriad of sexual side effects that did not exist prior to him deciding to perform a fully transecting EPA when I had only consented to a ventral buccal graft due to the length of the stricture and my concern about long-term sexual dysfunction. It’s been 7 years since I felt like I was butchered, and I would absolutely trade being able to pee like a racehorse to have kept my sexual function. The fact that it was a TURNS surgeon who did this to me is the most disturbing part of the entire experience. He knew my concerns about sexual side effects and still did a traditional EPA, removing 5.3 CM of my bulbar urethra in the process. Men deserve better. Your industry can do better. Each of you can do better. We are not just statistics…we are real people who must deal with the consequences of your actions. 😢

    And the entire industry is severely understating the sexual side effects. There is no way you do not impair the vascularity when you cut through the spongiousum and the urethral artery. You cannot justify it.

  • @1RedEarthProductions
    @1RedEarthProductions Місяць тому

    Why not just pull the bulbospongiosis muscle out of the way and leave the central tendon intact, while sparing the bulbar arteries? And why not use a non-transecting approach with two-layer closure?

    Doctors and big pharma push ADT CASTRATION, a cruel and barbaric treatment that has horrific quality of life destroying and life shortening side effects, on patients by coercion, deception, extortion and intimidation. Patients are never forwarned about all the horrific side effects or that these toxins can keep men partially or totally castrated for years or forever. Men are never informed that after 18 months or more of ADT, 75 PERCENT of all men will NOT RECOVER THEIR TESTOSTERONE LEVELS EVEN AFTER A MEDIAN TIME OF FIVE YEARS, and that up to twenty percent of older men NEVER RECOVER ABOVE CASTRATE LEVEL. ....Doctors are happy to treat prostate cancer patients like concentration camp inmates to be castrated as their lab rats without FREE AND FULLY INFORMED CONSENT.

    Quality of life or quantity of life, that's the greatest question I suppose. Especially for men already in their seventies and eighties. I'm somewhat on the fence about it. This needs much further study. I've just started this journey and am waiting for a diagnosis. Pray for me.

    I thought I had watched every PC lecture on the internet, but this one popped up on my feed today and I am so glad I watched it. Thank you, Richard Wassersug, for putting together such a thoughtful presentation. One of the things the medical community does wrong with their messaging/education efforts is to immediately pivot to solutions. I appreciate the impulse and the good intentions behind it, but for a prostate cancer patient, it often feels like we're being gaslighted ("it's not all about erections - orgasms are a mental thing," or "you can still find ways to give your partner pleasure."). It feels condescending, and I'm already set up to fail by having these platitudes dropped on my psyche. My personal metaphor is that a bomb went off and now I am sifting through the pieces to see what survived and what I can salvage with the rubble that remains. I know that sounds depressing but frankly it works for me because it frames it in a context of mostly starting over. Your lecture started with the bad stuff. You went there first. And it is such a relief that you did do so. Very few U.S. doctors will talk about genital shrinkage due to PC treatment and they dare not use the term "feminization" in framing how men might feel about some fairly profound changes to their bodies. I appreciate that. I appreciate that you started there. You acknowledge me and my starting point by doing so. You have given me that due, which enables me to trust you when you talk about where research leads in terms of mediation - or even resolution - of awful symptoms. Thanks again!

    Multilating anyone's genitals is immoral, period. This is a major modification to a man's genitals and the owner of the genitals should make the decision. This has become a major profit center for mostly American doctors and hospitals. It seems to go unreconized that there are about 200 million men in Europe and elsewhere that do not suffer in any great numbers from the ailments that they pretend this multilation prevents. If circumcision was a vaccine it would be about 3 percent effective. The few other industrial countries that once practiced this have either stopped or greatly reduced circumcision. Austrialia has all but stopped for about 35 years now. It is also way down in Canada. The other thing US doctors seem to be unaware of, is that many infant circumcision have terrible cosmetic results... Skin bridges, misalignments of the skin, and too much skin removed causing the scrotum to pull up onto the shaft. There seem to be no follow up, and too much skin remove is usually not visible without an errection. This just needs to stop.

    There is no argument in favor of circumcision. I don't believe any of these studies. If we weren't supposed to have a foreskin, we wouldn't be born with it . The only reason the American medical establishment continues to push circumcision on poor defensless babies is the money they make from performing this cruel and heartless procedure. You don't hear anyone discussing the benefits of removing any part of the female genitalia. Of course not because we have laws in place. Male babies, boys, and men however are at the mercy of these butchers who have the nerve to call themselves physicians. People are supposed to be able to trust medical professionals to give sound advice. Imagine counseling expectant parents, or men of any age to have part of their body cut off. The male foreskin is a vital & necessary part of our bodies and no less important than any part of the female genitalia. This sensless, barbaric, money making scheme needs to be stopped. Male babies, boys, and men need to have the same protection under the law as women aganst all forms of genital mutilation.

    I have that disease , it's so painful and for that alone your life span is shortened but it's in how it is treated that holds the answer .. I was treated with major amounts of steroids . As someone else asked does the extra tissue turn to tumor , yes. mine grew on my right kidney blocking the ueter.. causing me so many more problems , kidney disease to say the least . Now the steroids were a new thought that worked very well for me but the long term affects from the steroids are the new problems I have every kind of arthritis it hurts a disease called analucin spondinitus that's spelt so wrong but that one is bad but still grow tumors all over .. this is a greatful turnout I dig so well my rheumatologist believe now I must have been mis diagnosed. This disease is still to new I'm one of the guinney pigs
